Any idea what this plant is (Peony /lily of the valley? )

Any ideas what this is? I planted a Peony root (Sarah Bernard ) and lily of the valley in this bed last year - could it be either of these?  Pic taken today - west midlands,  rather cold here still...

    I think it’s a Sedum, I’m sure it’s not Lily of the valley and definitely not a peony.  Those stalks are from last years flowers. You can cut them off.

    Ye sedum, peony will probably have red buds showing now

    Thank you all so much - yes there is a sedum there too
