Help ID conifer please

Can anyone suggest which conifer this is? I've got the one behind it as a Korean Fir, but not sure of this. Thanks.

    I second deodar cedar.

    Devon.
  • I agree Cedrus deodara ..... my late parents had a beautiful one in their garden

(it was actually  C. deodara 'Aurea') ... they planted it when Wonky was a baby ... it's very big now.  image

    Hi glasgowdan

I've looked at your pictures carefully and can't see any signs of Korean Fir (Abies koreana) ; maybe I'm missing something here (please don't say brain cells)image!

  • Thanks. Seems the last owners had a thing for evergreens with exotic origins. I'll keep an eye on the size of this and the fir then!

The korean fir is obscured by the Himalayan. The first photo shows 2 left hand trunks and the korean fir is the right hand straight trunk.  The photo makes it hard to see

See it now , the greyish trunk on the right ; aren't they a bit close ?

  • You can see it's tall tip and huge cones on google streetview from the other side
