Lawn care
Evenin' all. I've just had a laugh over the Indian Natural place thread, very funny. But back to gardening, I've been scarifying all day and am completely *******. Lawn looks awful, very little grass (it was 98% moss). It's mild down here, should I weed and feed now or weed, reseed and feed. Never sure when to feed or whether I can feed and seed at the same time. Thanks

I would leave it until the soil warms up a bit ... maybe March? ... and then scatter some seed ...
don't use weed & feed because the weedkiller element will affect germination. I'd wait until later to feed when the grass is growing strongly.
Don't worry, lawns always look horrendous after scarifying ......... it'll look amazing in a few months' time.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I wouldn't weed and feed at all this year. Let the newly seeded lawn grow strongly, ignore the weeds in it this year (a lot of weeds will sprout before you get a chance to seed it). Don't feed it this year either.
Thanks Dove and glasgowdan. I'll seed in March when, as you say, the weather is warmer. I'll dig out any large weeds by hand (there aren't too many) and maybe feed in the Autumn. It looks better this morning, at least the bright green patches of moss have gone. Now it's just a lovely even shade of brown.
Mine looked like that after it's first raking/scarifying ... it's perfectly respectable now
