Repotting my agapanthus.
in Plants
Hi I think I need to repot my agapanthus, many of the roots are bursting up out of the top of the pot. I have over wintered it in the green house and it looks good, but I think it could do with a slightly bigger pot, it is in a 8/9” pot at the moment, any thoughts?
thank you in anticipation!

Hello little Poll. It would be fine to repot your plant but don't make the new pot too much bigger, as the Agapanthus like to be quite pot bound - though not quite as tightly as yours is.
Just go up one pot size - two at the most - or you might get lots of leaves but not as many flowers.
Thank you?
You are most welcome.
Mine seem to grow until their roots are bursting out of the pot anyway before they will consent to flower!
IME you can do anything you like to agapanthus, including sawing the root ball into small pieces and replanting. They do like to be south facing though.
