You could use a siphon to get the water out, if you have a lower point to where the water can drain. It doesn't matter if the end point is far away or the hose has to go up (higher than the pond) first. You could use a long piece of hose and start it off with sucking a bit or you can buy great siphons for a quid.
I have a hose pipe rigged up to near the bathroom window and use a siphon so bathwater can water the garden. Advice from this forum helped me getting it going and it works brilliantly. All for a pound.
Personally I would not want to put a hole in the liner and try and save it for another project / someone else who wants a pond.
Hi everyone. I eventually had to get a bit of help with the water feature. I have had surgery so even though I always try and hate asking for help, I had to on this occasion. It was really tough work and the man had filled it with concrete and bricks to raise the fountain part up. All gone now and I have filled the liner with soil and now have to decide what to do with it. I am thinking of planting herbs. Appreciate all the advice. x
Sometimes we just have to ask for help or nothing gets done ... one of those things ((hugs)) Glad you've got it sorted ... let us know how it comes along
