So I went and poked the turfs I cut last summer and the compost heap and neither are really ready for use. As such I went to my local independent garden centre as they make/bag up their own compost.
I had a lovely chat with a couple of the staff and on their (on your) advice have gone for predominantly No.3 with some of their "Supagro" feeding fruit/veg compost to mix in.
Decided I'd rather not skimp and waste my time / money and I dont mind spending some money locally rather than giving homebase/B&Q/ another faceless multinational my money. to be honest with discount wen you buy 5+ bags it was probably as cheap!
Picked up some fresh seeding compost too as I need to get the trays prepared and some stuff sown soon!
