Flowering now Can anyone identify? Thanks in advance.

  • Could that possibly be Leycesteria formosa?  Doesn't normally flower this time of year, but if it's in a sheltered place...

    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    The black berries that form are edible and taste of nutmeg - but you wouldn't want too many of them as they're a bit bitter

     I think you're right Nut ... it's a shrub that can give very good value image
