Strange fungus? Is it a problem?
This first appeared on my gooseberry bush stems but developed on all sorts of plants including dahlias and blackcurrants. Not all plants in a bed showed signs, just a few. It was a jelly like substance with a white powdery coating and dropped black ‘dust’ when scraped off, hence thinking it was a fungus. The plants didn’t seem to mind the stuff. So hoping it is not a problem.
