Gardening App

Does anyone here have any recommendations for gardening apps? I’m hoping for an app that I can input information on the seeds I have sowed, and the app to then remind me throughout the year of the ideal potting on/planting out/fertilising/harvesting times.

As a relatively new gardener who has flower beds, large potted plants, houseplants, hedges, a large olive tree and an allotment with planned vegetable and cut flower planting to manage, I could really do with an app to help me keep track of everything.

If anyone can recommend an app to me, I would find it really very useful! Most of the ones I’ve found so far have been virtual gardening games, which isn’t quite what I’m looking for!

  • As Pansy says, there's no hard and fast rule so I don't know how helpful an app would be.

What would probably be of more help to you is the monthly To Do list here

Using that and checking anything you're unsure about with the more experienced gardeners who help out on here should give you the help you need.

I also try to keep a little notebook of dates sown, pricked out, potted on, planted out and harvested ... partly because it's fun to do but it also lets me compare the years .......... no two years are ever the same so the dates are not the same either.
