Apricot cutting trying to flower... what to do?

I'm experimenting with trying to root a cutting from an apricot tree directly in soil. It's been a few weeks and one of them is producing a blossom. Should I pinch off the blossom now so the plant will focus its energy on rooting and growing vs. trying to make fruit?
