i've covered over my Gunnera for the winter
When do i remove the old leaves ?.

The pile of the old leaves are about 2ft high
will the new shoots poke threw ?.
I'd not leave that much on it to be honest.
It all depends on your local weather. Here in Devon they're swelling but in colder parts it'll be later but 2ft of old foliage on top is not doing it any good at all. I'd remove about half of that.
