Hi I already have 3 Annabelle Hydrangeas and I am looking to plant another 3 and wondered if anyone can advise if the Incrediball is a worthwhile investment over the standard plant.

I planted one last year and the stems are thicker and the blooms enormous........until it rained and flopped. This year I am going to prune it differently. I will leave the stems longer so that it has a low framework of supporting branches and also put extra supports in before it starts to come into full bloom. i will hopefully have more, smaller flowerheads that won’t droop onto the ground. It is a lovely shrub but it can look a bit “blousey“ compared to the more delicate Annabelle. I have a pink Annabelle planted next it which is lovely.
