Blind snowdrops

Help

3 years a good friend gave me a very large clump of double snowdrops from her garden.

I took them home and plantad them in smaller bunches.

Each year there apear in larger clumps But only one or two flowers

Any idea why

    they need splitting up or they become a tight clump of leaves. You can split them now or leave them til later, but replant them straight away, don't dry store them

  • i'd bet its the bulbs on the outside of the group that are flowering as they're the only ones not congested. They need spreading out, for snowdrops i try and put a one finger wide gap between bulbs,

    they might not flower well the following spring (building up energy reserves), but are great after that.

    lift once they've finished flowering, but still have leaves, they do better transplanted in 'the green'
