Metal Garden Shed

Hi

looking to purchase quite a large metal garden shed approx 12ft x 15ft.  Have seen quite a few for sale on the internet shed sites, and they seem extremely good price. Has anybody purchased a metal shed online and what was the quality of the product, also any recomendations would be much appreciated thx.

No personal experience but do remember reading about somebody buying a metal shed which turned out to be so flimsy it was impossible to put it together.

My daughter bought one and I built it for her took me a day. It's very thin and sharp I built a wooden floor to sit it on and screwed it down all the way round the base. I would not buy one if you want metal build a wooden frame and buy plastic coated box profile metal sheets for sides and roof. In my eyes a good wooden shed with a metal roof is far better just need to treat the wood each year mine has been up for over 20 years and still in great shape hope this helps you.

We’ve got one, OH and Son in law made a concrete base with strong plastic sheeting underneath for damp course, it arrived in flat pack sheets, which were very flimsy but with two people, it was no problem, put up in a day, once the panels are screwed to the frame it’s as solid as a rock.

it takes a lot of beating from the weather, we are very high up, 960’ so it’s always windy, the shed was erected in 2010 there’s no signs of wear, no leaks, the only problem, if it is a problem, is that it can get condensation inside, but if you leave the door open there’s no problem.

I’m sorry I can’t remember  the make,I will have another look later on and see if there’s a name on it.

All in all, it’s very good, I would buy another if anything  should happen to this one.

You do need two people really as the large side panels are tricky to hold in place and screw to the frame.
