Doves mention of Hazel reminds me of a job I did last week ; coppicing a huge clump of the aforementioned . Needless to say I took all the sticks home for plant supports One perk of the job I suppose !
I had a quick look at the website, looks excellent, so sure I will be ordering some stuff shortly. I do like the idea of Hazel, love the idea it can be used again.

I have a wonderful knob-headed hazel walking stick made from coppiced hazel.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
