Streptocarpus

I am having trouble with the leafs on my Streptocarpus plants , they just don't look healthy. What am I doing wrong?

  • Don't overwater or they may rot off at the base.

    If you know you haven't overwatered, then it is worth checking roots for vine weevil activity - they can eat away the roots and you don't know till the plant  keels over.

    If you find any grubs and the plant is still worth trying to save, then it is best to wash off the roots and repot in fresh compost. Keep a lookout for adult weevils and dispose of them. If you have a lot of plants it might be worth using nematodes.

    I have been very careful not to over water, I would normally feed them but have read not to feed Steps in the winter.

    If it is not bugs is there anything else that will make the leaves look healthier?
