Help NZ flax
I noticed that the NZ flax was looking very black on the leaves near the root and when I touch the outer plants they feel away. What do I do to fix this in February? Thanks for any and all advice

Is this just the outer leaves? Are the leaves in the centre still sound?

Yeah but on average only the middle three?
It may have died from cold and wet if it was in a vulnerable spot. Have you got a picture?
Sorry it's upside. Down
I agree with Freddies Dad ... I wouldn't worry about that ... pull the old leaves out when you tidy the garden in the spring ... watch your shoulder when you do it ... don't yank too hard ... I'm pretty sure that's what started the problems I had with my right shoulder last spring.

Thanks everyone
That is to be expected of a New Zealand (or Australian) plant.
