Black spots and yellow leaves on shrubs

Hi,

We had a lot of snow in December, and afterwards I noticed some of my shrubs had yellow leaves with black spots. I assumed this was snow/frost damage (not accustomed to gardening in this hemisphere!) I haven't done much gardening in the cold, but just went out and noticed that this has spread.

I'm desperate to get them healthy as we spent a lot of money on them just in October!

Please see pics - any idea what this could be and how to cure it?

A hebe with frost damage in the first, that variety tends not to be so hardy, mine died in an average Southern winter.

Agree with Mark regards the hebe.  If the second picture is of a variegated Photinia they are prone to leaf spots.  I would simply remove the worst affected.  Doesn't seem to do the plant any harm and the new leaves seem to grow back 'clean'.  Don't panic, you certainly haven't wasted your money.

Thank you, very helpful! And now I even know what plants they are, thanks! ;)
