    That shows promise, not a clematis I know.

  • It is growing through an early flowering rosa pimpinellifolia in the front garden here, after the rose finishes the clematis kicks in, flowers through until September, just chop the old stems off in mid-February, never water or feed it, a REAL clematis.  It will grow anywhere, and the flowers are scented.

    I can understand the 2nd picture being very exciting.  Love a perfumed clematis.
