What is this plant please?

I picked this up from B&Q quite cheap. It didn’t have any label and staff couldn’t tell me what it was. It looked pretty so I just bought anyway.

Could someone please shed some light?

Thanks image

    It's a Euphorbia.
If you google you should be able to check the variety.
The white milky sap is a skin irritant, so wear gloves when cutting back.

  • Yes, it looks like Euphorbia martinii 'Blackbird' to me. They are lovely, but can be shortlived (mine was in alkaline clay soil). They have fabulous lime yellow flowers in April so put it with some daffodils in front, like 'Tete a Tete' and watch your neighbours envy.

  • Hey,

thank you to both of you. Looks like a lovely plant when it’s in flower. Thanks for the great tip Cambridgerose12 ?

  • Thanks for the warning about the irritatant sap Pete8, it’s good to know. ?
