Organic Growing

hi, 

I’m wanting to start growing organic veg in raised beds this year and was wondering can I use non organic food waste in the compost heap?

    Yes if it's for your consumption and not for sale but only raw fruit and vegetable food waste and coffee grounds and tea leaves.  No cooked foods.   Some paper to balance all the nitrogen and aerate the compost.

  • Depends what you mean by 'Organic' I guess.

    I don't think there's a fixed scientific definition of what it means in terms of gardening and growing.

    Hi, on the subject of organic vegetable growing....I'm new to organic vegetables cultivation having just got my own veg plot this year, I'd like to know what are the best organic seed sowing composts for sale in UK ?
