TRIM or CHOP!

A greenhouse Pitcher (which catches 100s of flies and bloomed beautifully last Summer) is very overdue for re-potting.  How much (if any) trimming should I do to the small roots?

I have no idea, Oldcompost - on the account that I've never grown them.

However, I remember at the Chelsea Flower Show last year there were some good displays of Pitchers.

I expect that one of the nurseries would be happy to advise, if you e-mailed or phoned them.

    http://www.hantsflytrap.com/ , for example.

    All the best.

  • pbff:  I rang that company and they said leave the little roots on and advised using extra fine compost to emulate a peat bog. Thanks very much for that help.
