rosemummyrosemummy Posts: 2,010

i have 'ispahan' rose which flowers in June,& I would like a blue flowered clematis to grow through it after its finished flowering ( so group 3) I like the look of arabella, but unsure if flowers are a bit big, it's a south facing site, any suggestions?

Arabella is not self clinging so will need constant training and tying in.  In my experience she's also very vigorous and sprawly when she gets settled.

Use this site to search for colour, size and group 3 to narrow down your search and check flower size and form.  There are some beauties - http://www.clematis.hull.ac.uk/new-clemlistsearch.cfm Then check the usual suppliers or your local garden centre to fond the one you want.
