If that's what it was,for "a really pretty spreading pink plant " I'd say pretty, but hideously invasive weed"

I always thought of that plant as a weed, but a pretty weed. The episode I saw yesterday was about a "yardon" and a tranquil Japanese garden, but I might have been watching it on catch up.

I was impressed with the tiny yard, but the Japanese garden has been worrying me ever since ?. It just looked an awful mess to me, and next doors trampoline didn't add to the ambience. The torrential river, the grey concrete steps and the masses of blonde pebbles didn't look tranquil to my eyes. I heard them say it cost £7000 to achieve.
