Identification of cutting brought back from Comares, Andalucia

I have a cutting which has rooted but cannot identify it from any of my books. It was  medium shrub growing in a hill top village in southern Spain. The photo looks sideways on but the flowers hung down from the shrub   image

  • its upside down, but it looks like a Viburnum or possibly a Daphne, chances are it won't be hardy coming from Spain.

Speaking of which you should never bring cuttings/plants back from holiday, it can bring diseases and pests into the country, that's why we have plant quarantine periods

I think it is a kind of Cestrum.

  • Thanks Dimwit - I have now found it - Cestrum Purpureum also known as Bastard Jasmine. I will keep it in the conservatory.
