Orchid repotting

My Phaleanopsis orchid has got large and heavy it decided to leap onto the floor, breaking the stem of 14 flower heads. It obviously needs to be in a larger pot, but can I split it in any way, and is now a good time.

Alway good to know, I have a few and they do get top heavy so I will be sorting out a couple of mine whenI can find the compost..
