Reclaimed brick for border edging

I have a curvy path running through my garden. Current wooden edging has reached the end of its life and I would like to replace with a reclaimed brick edging. What is the best thing to lay them into and should I fill the gaps to avoid the grass growing into the border? Any tips would be much appreciated!
