Gladiolus: colour of corms = colour of flowers?

I bought a bag of mixed gladioli corms, no further information from seller. Am I right in thinking the colours of the corms reflect the colours of the resulting flowers?
These corms are purple, red-ish, yellow and white...
(Would like to know before I accidentally ruin a colour scheme.)
