No leaves on it. It’s in the ground more like a root of something but nothing else comes of it , just a thick spaghetti like tentacles (sounds creepy o know )
How far down are you seeing these roots. If they're more on the surface, it could be Portulaca Oleracea, Purslane. They tend to thrive in poor compacted undisturbed grounds.
Yes they are on the surface it’s my first year pn my allotment it was just left so it’s took me 6 months to clear it so it does look like your evaluation is spot on thanks
