I do love that Viburnum, looks gorgeous. We had a large tree that basically collapsed a couple of years ago. I thought it was a gonner and chopped it to the base. Two years later and its back to a huge mass of snowballs again. It doesnt last long but its a spectacular display whilst it is out
Thanks @2oaktrees officially Acers are supposed to be in ericacious soil but I usually just use JI-3 with a about 25% MPC and extra grit to stop compaction & waterloging. In his book on Acers Niel Kenney of Larchfield trees says you should use 50:50 MPC and composted bark or soil improver. Only one of the two in that pic is in a pot the red one is in the soil. We feed with a liquid fertilizer, it is important not to overpot Acers. If you like those here are some more.
