I got some pictures of my pots / other bits over the last few days, I were going to put them on the other day but couldn't be bothered after putting all the others on Sunday.

I did get some camelia flowers eventually but they didn't last 2 mins with the warm weather, only flowered a few days.

Lovely. I think the white flowers are a different type of allium. I have them. They taste of garlic.
Thanks, I may keep some then and move them to a better area. They are currently under one of my palm trees, along with the bluebells and just look scruffy!
I think the white one might me cowanii ? The smaller alliums look really weedy to me, not a patch on the larger specimens.

Perki, that is one flawless white camellia! It looks like it's made of fondant icing!
  • Another new arrival in the garden when I got home this evening, it made me smile and suits the border I'm trying to develop well.
Only bought recently from iris of sissinghurst, at a local plant sale.  it is iris rajah and a bit of a show off! Definitely want to get some more now though.

So gorgeous. It would be stunning blown up as a photo on the wall.  Can you put something very dark behind it, to make the red and yellow really pop? A willow hurdle or dark trellis?

I was considering painting the fence a dark colour but I don't think the OH would agree to black!

Perhaps I'll borrow some black card from school to take some portraits

It has two further budslower down so hoping we get enough sun for them all to be out together.

AlliumPeurpleSensation, I’ve just painted my fence a dark colour, my OH saw next doors fence painted and said he liked it so i struck while the iron was hot and did ours. When all the plants and shrubs grow it will recede into the background but the flower colours will really stand out well.....I hope. I’ll post a picture later.
Life's tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.
