Hopefully the daffodils, crocus, hyacinths & pulmonarias will pick up after the snow. Would have provided further protection to some plants but the snow came quick & fast after night fall.
I still can't see the photos here. I've used Chrome to get onto the site, had to download it again as it seemed to have disappeared from my Laptop. But it makes no difference, if anything it is slower than Internet Explorer and the print is smaller.
PLEASE PLEASE could the techy team do something to make photos easier to see for those with slow Internet. I didn't have such a problem with the last site, the older site or the trial site. What has happened. Really disappointed. This is one of my favourite threads.
I can't help with the plant identity threads or the help with garden threads that have photos either. Seriously thinking of giving up this forum. The other forum I do is so much better.

Yes I can, but there is fast Internet there, heaps better. But in England I had trouble signing in with the elderly laptop (OH's) that still has Windows 7.

It's not just Busy. If I want to load the photos on this thread I have to go and make some coffee or something to give them time to load.
I automatically re-size photos for sharing on here as I also sometimes use them for emails and that presents no problem for loading, viewing or sending. It isn't PC related for me but clearly the new larger file sizes allowed are not an advantage for those of us with slow internet out in the countryside.

Just been trying to download a photo of my magnolia Leonard Messel, no luck so far, just a blue line, didn't have such a problem on the old site. Oh it's appeared! Photo is 1.58MB, I think, so not huge, but I don't know how to make it smaller. I tried Obelixx's way but it didn't work.
