    Yes Lyn, I'm waiting to see if they are hellebore seedlings or more of the dreaded Aaron's rod which are popping up everywhere.

    I had the same thing. I cut my scraggy leaves in the autumn (on forum advice) and have had no hellebores all winter. I saw yesterday a flower pushing through. Starting in April! Usually I have flowers from January. I missed them a lot, but very glad to see them now.
