Mme. Gregoire staechelin
I have a climbing rose ( mme gregoire) which has been on its current position for almost 2years& hasn't flowered& has a kind of rust& black spot& generally isn't doing well, I moved it when it had been in the front garden after one summer ad the huge lime tree on the road outside is getting so big& plunging the front garden into way more shade than I realised, shall I prune it, remove the leaves& give it one last chance or cut it right back& take it to lulu be at the allotment? It currently has to fight with the fig tree so I suspect it may struggle for air& sun

Hmmm. What is its current position? Up a pillar? Up a wall? Through the fig tree?
Against a south facing stone wall although it has grown outwards through the monster fig to reach more light
