Seeds (Indian cooking)

imageHi to all

Does anyone know which variety of Mustard seeds I can grow for Indian cooking?

Also which variety of fenugreek seeds to grow for Indian cooking?

Where can I buy Trachyspermum ammi - Ajwain seeds from?

I wish to harvest the seeds for cooking.

Thanks for your time

Andrew

Just bear in mind that seeds don't remain viable for ever, and if you buy from a grocery, they may have been in storage a long time.  So if they don't germinate, don't give up, use the rest of the pack for cooking and try again with another batch.

  • I got my mustard seeds from Tesco. Sow them as green manure and they are viable every time:)
