poppies
i wonder if anybody would be interested in a suggestion i put on a couple of the national allotment forums and was well received.
as this year of 2018 marks a hundred years since the end of the first world war that people put a little patch of poppies in their garden or allotment in memorary of the people who lost their lives and suffered and are still suffering ,both civilian and military, in all conflicts since the end of that terriable war.
many thanks for your time.

If you buy them from T £ M they will donate 10p per packet to the British Legion.
I bought them in 2014 they still pop up everywhere.

Great idea here is one person that will take up the idea
Yes, a lovely thought. I will be doing it
Put an order in for ladybird poppy plugs to add in round the garden this year cannot wait
Well done James, are they giving the money to charity on those as well?
Great idea, I have a pack from the British Legion in the garage
I just wish they would grow in my garden in France. I've sown 2 packets of Ladybird poppies, saw them looking glorious at Great Dixter, and several packets of different poppies over the years and nothing happened.
You have to watch them for slugs, perhaps they popped up and got chewed.
Yes I'd be happy to take part and already have the seeds.
