Italian Walnut Trees nuts going black

We have several walnut trees in our house, Olive Grove Farm, in mid Italy and all or most of the actual walnuts go black and are inedible. What can I do? Do the trees need spraying with something? Sometimes I have seen 3mm worms inside. Any help would be much appreciated.

Sounds like you have some kind of codling moth whose maggots are eating your nuts.   You need an insecticide or some sort of pheromone treatment.   Talk to your neighbours about what treatments you can get near you and when to apply them.
