Hi just wondering if someone could ID this shrub/small tree. Its 14th high and has put on 4ft of growth last season (probably because I hacked it back so hard last winter). I'm not sure if it flowers or has berries, all I know it's evergreen. Thank you.
Definitely a tree cotoneaster. Small white flowers,in spring, bright red berries in Autumn. Absolute thug - I have cut mine to the ground many times and it's back to full size in a year.

The new wood is red, but the old wood and trunk are silver and smooth. x
looks like some sort of Cotoneaster
In the sticks near Peterborough
Cotoneaster Cornubia maybe.
Thanks so much Nutcutlet and Leem.
I think its a cotoneaster 'cornubia' (Tree cotoneaster). Grows to 6-12 metres. Oops.
