Laying turf

  Hi 

  I assume you have never laid turf before. If not, then have you prepared the soil correctly so that the turf is laid level and roots to the soil correctly. If you have done that preparation, then you will lay the turf in a steacher course ( as a bricklayers bond where no horizontal joints is above or below another). Also playing turf at this time of the year might not be the right time due to possible heavy frosts. I would consider waiting untill the soil warm up as the turf will knit together better. As for how long it will take you, then assumming a) you never done this before b) you have not prepared the soil correctly then that would be difficult to estimate. For a large area like that, I would consider seriously using a proper turf laying company
