    Geranium macrorrhizum Ingwersens variety

I have this under the shady eaves of my front window in soil which is very dry. It thrives and has a very neat habit. I bought it as recommended for that site.  You can cut it all back very hard to keep in trim. I am now using cuttings as ground cover in other parts of the garden.

  • Thanks borderline, I put a sarcacocca in in the end, they seem to grow anywhere! Beautiful geranium, would be great for some colour, thanks for the idea
  • Sorry-iamweedy, not borderline! Thank you!

Elspethscott, I’m not sure if you managed to get Loropetalum Chinense ‘Fire dance’. I hope it survived its first winter.

Unfortunately I’ve never come across one, still on the lookout. I did take your advice about sarcacocca and ox eye daisies though, both are growing really well so far 🤞(ox eye daisies in green house buy ready to plant out soon!)
