Don't blame the students who ask for our help. Multinational companies like Bosch like to get their research done on the cheap by the universities and colleges, rather than having product developers on the payroll. The students may be given the option of devising their own projects, but by taking up one that's offered by an industry, they probably think they're more likely to be designing something someone actually wants. Or that if they come up with a winner, the company might hire them.
