Indoor Fatsia spiderweb leaf problems

Hi everyone,

i just bought my first Fatsia plant and the leaves seem to be developing these brown spots that spreading. Does anyone know what the problem might be or what I can do? Thanks!

    Probably too dry atmosphere ; take a look at this :-

    Hi Mykat, it sounds as if you have red spider mite which make webs and lead the plant leaves to have a sort of mottled unhealthy look. Nowadays you can treat it with a biological control, Phytoseiulus persimilis.

    Can we be clear here ? Are you referring to an infestation of red-spider mite as described by C/rose12 ?

    Or are you referring to Fatsia 'Spidersweb' , which is a varigated 'semi-indoor' or tender shrub ?

    Thanks for that ; still maybe too warm or dry an atmosphere for this time of year .

    It is frost tender , but in this season of 'poor-light' , I would be inclined to just keep slightly damp and cool to avoid weak growth . When all frosts have passed , will do well standing outside for the summer in a semi-shaded position .

    Do you know of a feasible biological control for mealy-bug on succulents ?
