@TheGreenMan both our dogs are getting old now and have arthritis. It is treated with a daily dose of a standard anti-inflammatory for dogs as well as a dose of phytotherapy plant based medicine each day - nettle, filipendula, turmeric and scophularia and different mix for each dog. We've had to give the older dog a double daily dose of the phyto stuff for the last week as she was waking up too stiff to move easily.
Both are very busy and run around like puppies when in the mood so have a word with your vet about it.
Our two cats are just 6 yrs old now and in fine fettle.

The body language is good @pansyface, they look as though they will be good pals, thats lovely. @TheGreenMan So sorry to hear you have an invalid,I hope shes soon feeling better with a little medication. My OH made steps up to the sofa and bed,for our arthritic puss. It helped,as she always used them. Hope all goes well.

I was woken up by persistent meowing at 7.00 this morning. Now this is quite late for Basil but I still wanted a lie in. After half an hour I got up. Husband mumbled that he had already been let out and fed at about 6am. Beastly Basil. He got a second breakfast but he didn't need it. This is not post Lily-'s death trauma behaviour. Just his summer behaviour. At least it's not in the night, which is what happened when had undiagnosed hypothryoidism. I didn't sleep properly for about 9 months. (And yes, felt terrible for not realizing he had something wrong with him for such a long time. But all was well in the end. Medication, then thyroidectomy.)
It is so nice to read this thread and see all of your furry friends.
Hope Karen Moon is soon on the mend @TheGreenMan Lovely photos of Basil & Lily @REMF33 @pansyface pleased you have a new addition to your home Cocoa, hope she settles in well.
This is Nel she is very much in charge here,
She likes to assist me in the garden,…”I’m just keeping it warm for you!”
@Sheps Well the intention was to call him something exotic,as the vet said he was a Tonkinese. We didnt know, just thought he was a rescue kitten,so "Bruno" was the decision. However after the first few days we discovered a really soft squidgy cat who loved to be cuddled,so hence Cushion, shortened to Cush,he was lucky it could've been "Duvet"!

I might be missing something here, but why the name Cushion?
