I know how you must have been feeling Islander - it’s hard not to know where they are. From time to time we attach a little tracer to Tommy’s collar just to see where his usual revier is and how far he walks. It’s not the one that gives us his location at any given moment, just the one we can stick into laptop once he is back to see the trajectory of his walks and to know his usual territory. Once last summer he made a round journey of 2.5 miles in one night, crossing roads and walking through dozens of gardens. But showed up in the morning all smug, thinking that nobody would know 😊😸 We are quite worried that he goes so far away from home, but there isn’t anything we can do to stop him. He wouldn’t be happy being an indoor cat.
Here's a pic of my rescue cat Cush! Dumped in a box with his siblings! He's such a big softie, hates polythene bags of any type, and the coffee grinder!

Valley Gardener Cush is lovely and looks very cosy in his jumplet. Newfoundland a loving home after his endeavours and can relax and sleep and eat. Mine loves his dreamiest. Unfortunately had to have my Ed put to sleep a few months ago but still miss him. He had stage four kidney failure but out of pain.
@Rubee The vet had him down as Tonkinese on his passport. You see these type of cats running feral where we lived. We've always had rescue cats and it's been heart breaking when they get old and have things go seriously wrong with their health. I like to think that they had a good life with us,I think these will be our last two, always had four! But who knows, there's a cat sanctuary near here and we thought of offering a few hours a week help.......so you never know, maybe fostering!

Sounds unpleasant @islander 🤢 Your cats are gorgeous though. While we are on the subject of odours - what does everyone use to keep general cat smells at bay? My indoor cats have their own downstairs bathroom, and I scoop and clean daily, but am often worried that little whiffs may permeate through the house. You have to be so careful with cleaning products and air fresheners with pets.

Hope all cats are behaving out there.
