Lovely photos each and all, of a beautiful tree...  I only know it from gardening in Cornwall...

    Whatever happened to 'Nymans B'..?

I've managed to retrieve this image from Google Maps,  taken August 2009 when in bloom, at what used to be my local church in St Austell, Cornwall.... these have been growing in the grounds there for as long as I can remember...  there are several of these planted along the railings which are not in view...  In the early days I thought they might be Stewartia pseudocamellia, which is very similar, but deciduous, but these were evergreen...

...sorry the pic won't enlarge there...

...  that's a great link, thanks so much, at least it confirms my memory is still in one piece...  I left there 23 years ago...  lovely trees...

Bought my Eucryphia around 30-years ago from Roger Plant centre in N.Yorks ; I keep it to around 15' high with infrequent prunings (or when I remember) :)

Another August flowering tree I have is Aralia elata ; looks stunning at the moment .
