Help recognising unknown plant
Good evening everybody
I need your expertise to solve a mystery.
At the moment I am in a small Italian volcanic island in the middle of the Mediterranean sea. Needless to say, the temperature here is amazing and even though it is January, the gardens are flourishing with any kind of plant.
However, the other day I was having a walk with my mother, and we came across this vine. It was somehow recognisable, but we cannot really place it. What caught our attention was the AMAZING smell of its small flowers. It just had a few of them, but believe me, the smell was impressing, almost intoxicating. Really sweet, I have never smelled it before but it reminds me of acacia, or yasmine, or orange, maybe honeysuckle... Gosh, I don't know!
It would be great if anyone could help me understand what kind of plant that is, we would love to have it in our garden.
Thank you in advance, I am looking forward to your replies!

You are right, it is truly a blessing to be here during winter. I believe it is from the same family as jasmine too, but we have it and it does not look nor smell the same. I looked it up online and I cannot find anything similar... Such a mysterious plant!
There are several different jasmines ... could it be this one which has very fragrant flowers

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Based on where you are, I think the climber could be Jasminum Grandiflorum. A greenhouse plant in the UK. Not hardy here.
Thank you for your reply!
The shape of the flowers is basically the same, but the one I saw has white flowers (sorry about the pics, the illumination in the city centre is quite odd, so the colours are a bit yellowish) the leafs as you can see are different, though...
That's it!!! Thank you so much for your help from me and my mother!

No problem. They are lovely...
They truly are, we are going to plant it at home and we will think about the kind stranger that helped us find it online, when it flowers
