Spathiphyllums require year round high humidity and warmth (18 to 25C) for optimum health . Not always easy conditions to emulate in a house .
Black-spots and leaf tip damage usually indicates that the plant has been too cool and dry at some stage .
Visualise a large semi-shaded greenhouse after a watering on a warm summers day ; the humidity almost 'knocks you back' upon entering . These are just the conditions they require .
