I'm not sure, but it looks a bit like the bane of my life, Arum Maculatum. A stunning plant, but they get everywhere and are very difficult to get rid of - I'm still not winning the battle after 6yrs!

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
It is as Pete8 says - Arum Maculatum - they are quite invasive so I would be careful in restricting this plant. Its also very uninteresting. I've got quite a lot of it in my garden and forever pulling up the new plants.

I think you are right Pete8 thanks for the reply. Much appreciated.
generally the leaves of an Iris come from a rhizome in a flat, fan type growth. That appears to be round though it may be a trick of the camera

Could you put it in a pot to see what it turns into? I'm curious?
