Miscanthus

B3B3 Posts: 27,505

Someone was kind enough to give me some advice on miscanthus care, but I can't find my original post.

Could someone advise me when and how much to cut it back, or do I give it a comb through?

I'm not sure which one it is but I think it's probably a bog standard sinensis.

It's got quite large so I might have to divide it. Do I do this before or after new growth has started?

Thanks

Best not to touch it until Spring, they do not like being moved when soil is cold.

Cut it to the ground and you can divide at the same time.
