    I have often wondered why shampoo and conditioner come in matching bottles but with labels  too small to read without my glasses. I tend not to wear them in the shower! image

    Having spent some time merchandising in the shoe shop that purports to be a pharmacy,  Eye line is buy line, bottom shelf is for stuff they make little profit on.  Eye level is stuff they want to sell lots of because the profit is high and the manufacturer is promoting it on the telly.

    I keep my shampoo to the left and conditioner to the right which works so far but maybe we should all write to the manufacturers about their packaging.  Just because I'm 27 doesn't mean I don't care about my hair anymore.

    Fidget - there are whole armies of people who do research into retail psychology - where to display, how to display, how often to re-organise the supermarket or store to make shoppers take new routes past merchandise they normally wouldn't see in order to encourage impulse buying.........
